Can’t decide between live band and DJ?

Why not choose both? We can help! JMO can easily integrate the energy of a live band with the smoothness of a DJ, giving you your favorite songs and non-stop music for the most important party of your life.

JMO will work with you to custom design your wedding from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the main event. For the ceremony there is the traditional harp and violin music, or a trumpet playing Vivaldi and even a recessional of  “When the Saints Go Marching In.” They certainly welcome your suggestions, will offer some of their own, and take pride in a tasteful and appropriate ritual.

What to Expect on Your Big Day

The cocktail hour is generally piano and bass. Most clients want it low key. When an acoustic piano is not available, Jimmy can play an electronic keyboard. You can also substitute a horn player (some couples ask for a saxophonist) for the bassist if you so desire.

For the dinner, JMO offers a full compliment of musicians and unique arrangements (“At Last,” “It Had To Be You,” “New York, New York,” etc.) as well as the most danceable charts from the 70s through today ("Funky Music," "Livin on a Prayer," "Forget You"). The band will carefully coordinate with your Maitre d’ and set the tempos and styles of each tune to get everyone on the dance floor at the proper moments. The announcements can be as prominent or unobtrusive as you’d like. “We specialize in customizing the music to match the the mood from moment to moment," says Jimmy. "We pride ourselves on creating softer moments for guests to talk during dinner, and then smoothly transitioning into timeless classics and today's hits when guests of all ages are ready to hit the dance floor."
